The province is continuing to monitor a forest fire in western Labrador that, were it not for the actions of firefighting crews, NL Hydro and favourable wind direction, might have forced another evacuation of Churchill Falls.

The provincial government is thanking the many people involved in fighting this week’s fire.
Ground crews are now in the area knocking down hotspots with the help of air crews.
