A St. John’s boy is facing several charges following an incident in the centre city.

Police began receiving calls just before 1:00 yesterday afternoon regarding reports of a disturbance.

After the investigation, the youth was arrested for assault, assault with a weapon, assault by choking, property damage and breach of a release order.

Police say he and the female victim were known to each other.

He was held for court.
