NL Hydro saw a 40 per cent increase in fast charging stations established in the province in 2024 over 2023, and efforts are underway to introduce “ultra fast” charging stations in the coming year.

NL Hydro CEO Jennifer Williams says the new stations are expected to be installed and ready to go by the end of 2025.

She says the 11 new ultrafast charging stations take about 20 minutes to charge a compatible EV. “Get your Tim’s, use the washroom, and you’re good to go.”
