What used to be known as St. John’s Day in the capital city, and Discovery Day in other parts of the province is now known as the June Holiday in some jurisdictions, while in others, it’s when National Indigenous Peoples Day, which took place on Saturday, is being observed.
As a result, most municipal and provincial government offices are closed.
