RCMP in Happy Valley-Goose Bay have released surveillance images of a man wanted in connection with an attempted armed robbery in the town last week.

Thirty-seven-year-old Kieran Alexander Pardy, more commonly known as Alex Pardy, is wanted in connection with an incident at Da Shed Pub.

On Monday evening, a “shelter in place” was issued when the accused was reportedly seen on Green Street with a firearm. He was not located at that time.

Police say they are following up on all information regarding Pardy’s current location.

There is an increased police presence in the town as a result, including a police dog and helicopter.

They are cautioning the public that anyone who assists Pardy in avoiding them could face a charge of obstruction.

Police are asking anyone who sees Pardy not to approach him, and to contact them with the information.
