The RNC say there were no injuries following a dramatic rescue in Frenchman’s Cove on the west coast over the weekend.

The incident happened around 6:30 Saturday evening.

An excavator working along the water’s edge became unstable and quickly slid beneath the surface, becoming submerged.

A nearby employee jumped into the water and pulled the operator to safety.

The investigation has concluded with no charges laid.
