A man has been arrested and charged in St. John’s after police say he caused a string of damage from the centre city through the downtown.
The RNC were first called around 4:30 p.m. Thursday about damage to parked vehicles at parking lots along Elizabeth Avenue, Peet Street, Kenmount Road, and Clinch Crescent.
The suspect vehicle was located on Duckworth Street half an hour later where police say it continued to cause damage and would not pull over.
The pursuit was stopped near Rawlins Cross in the interest of public safety.
Around 5:30 p.m. the vehicle was finally pulled over in the westbound lane of the TCH near Paradise.
The driver, a 43-year-old man, has been charged with property damage, flight from police, and dangerous driving.
The accused was held for court.
