You might call it “Baully-wood,” but some of the power players on the TV and film entertainment scene are planning to build a community within a community on the outskirts of Bauline to shoot movies and series such as “Son of a Critch.”
The proponents say the project would cost about $50-million and transform the region into a sought-after site for the screen industry.
Bauline Mayor Craig LeGrow says council set land aside for development such as this.
“We set up a commercial / industrial area at the end of Bauline…it’s kind of on the outskirts of (town) near Portugal Cove. We have one company there now, we have that one (the soundstage project) that’s interested, and we also have another movie company looking for a laydown area, so yes, it’s going to be great for the town.”
