Elections NL has a team in place to make sure people displaced by the wildfires in Conception Bay North can vote in the upcoming provincial election.

Many people in the region have lost everything, and are now left to figure out how, or if, they will rebuild.

In the meantime, residents are scattered throughout the province, staying with family, friends, or in other accommodations.

Chief Electoral Officer Travis Wooley says they have a team in place to coordinate a response for electors who have been displaced by the fire to ensure they have an option to vote.

He says they don’t have everything finalized yet, but that information will be coming out shortly.
