The Liberal Party is vowing new road connections for residents to get in and out of Paradise and Portugal Cove-St. Phillips if re-elected.
In Paradise today, John Hogan says they plan to address traffic and congestion in Paradise and Portugal Cove-St . Phillips by constructing a new interchange on the Outer Ring Road to connect with Trails End Drive, and a further road connection to St. Thomas Line.
“It’s clear that growth in these communities has surpassed the ability of the current road network to handle traffic loads. Candidates running here for mayor just yesterday told the media that the primary issue for them is traffic and traffic management.”)
The Liberals are also committing to providing $2 million to help support a new Northeast Avalon integrated public transportation plan that could be extended to other areas of province, where needed.
