RCMP in Grand Falls-Windsor arrested a 39-year-old man after a disturbance inside a home in Botwood.

Police were called around 4:30 Wednesday afternoon about a disturbance at a home on Wentzell’s Road.

When officers arrived, they found a man barricaded inside with two other people.

Police established communication with the man and managed to de-escalate the situation which ended peacefully with the man leaving the home.

He was held in custody overnight to appear in court on charges of uttering threats and resisting or obstructing a police officer.

RCMP say more charges are possible.
