A Memorial University professor in MUN’s Faculty of Business is hosting a free lecture tomorrow on life after COVID and the impact of working from home following three separate lock-down periods.
“Navigating the New Normal: Work and Family After COVID-19” explores how much life has changed for workers, families and employers since the pandemic.
Dr. Alyson Byrne says the pandemic also helped to shed greater light on issues that were always there, but that remained relatively hidden.
That includes the role of relatives in providing necessary childcare, and the role of families in providing unpaid care to adults in seniors care homes.
The free lecture takes place tomorrow at 4:30 at the Gardiner Centre at MUN’s Signal Hill Campus. You must register to attend through the Gardiner Centre website as seating is limited.
