People in the St. John’s area now have a new option for buying local food.
The Avalon Food Hub is an online marketplace and the newest social enterprise under Food First NL.
Program coordinator Vicki Axford says the focus this month will be on fresh seasonal vegetables and greens.
She expects the list of vendors and the variety of products available to grow throughout the season.
Orders going in now will be available for pickup on Thursday, World Food Day.
