Most retail and office doors are closed today in light of Thanksgiving, a day which falls under the Shops Closing Act.
Curbside waste collection in St. John’s will not be done today – instead, it will be collected tomorrow. Garbage pickup originally scheduled for Tuesday will move to Wednesday along with regular Wednesday collection.
Public washrooms will be open at Bannerman Park, Bowring Park, Kenny’s Pond and Quidi Vidi Lake.
Most federal, provincial and municipal offices are closed.
