A man is facing some hefty penalties after being caught driving nearly 100 km/h over the posted speed limit in an active construction zone.
RNC was camped out near the work site on Pitts Memorial Drive yesterday when a truck whizzed by going 127 km/h in the 30 km/h zone where workers were present.
The driver was ticketed, his licence was suspended and his pickup truck was seized.
Police say several tickets were issued in construction zones over the Thanksgiving weekend.
