A driver with a lead foot is without their vehicle after leaving RNC in the dust last night.

Officers on patrol noticed a car going way over the speed limit on a residential street in the centre city area around 10:00 p.m.

RNC flashed the lights but the car took off with police giving chase.

The vehicle was located shortly after and the driver was arrested on charges of flight from police and dangerous driving.

They were also issued several tickets for driving without insurance and registration.

The vehicle was impounded.
