Earlier story
The LAPD is investigating the deaths of Holywood legend Rob Reiner and his wife Michele Singer as homicides.
Reiner, who was 78, was the son of another member of Holywood royalty, Carl Reiner and first made his way into people’s living rooms playing Michael Stivic, the Polish son-in law of Archie Bunker on All in the Family.
Reiner’s role personalized the social conscience of the rebellious 1960s and frequently clashed with Bunker’s social conservatism.
Reiner moved on to a successful role as director, directing classics including This is Spinal Tap, The Princess Bride, A Few Good Men and When Harry Met Sally.
Police say Reiner and Singer’s bodies were found in their Brentwood home on the weekend, reports suggest the couple were stabbed.
