A number of government offices located at 50 Elizabeth Avenue will reopen today following a water line break that caused damage to the building.
The break, which occurred last week, took some time to pinpoint – complicated by extreme cold and high winds. A full assessment of the building was carried out and some offices, including Energy and Mines, and Jobs, Growth and Rural Development, reopen today.
However, Fines and Administration with the Department of Justice will remain closed with an update expected later today.
The front entrance of the building will remain closed to staff and visitors, and people are being asked to use the rear entrance instead and follow posted signage.
