The RCMP in Labrador are busy distributing toys to communities throughout the region as part of their 15th annual Toys for the North campaign.
A Canadian Armed Forced Hercules touched down at 5 Wing Goose Bay on December 7th, with eight pallet loads of gifts for children bound for northern and remote communities in Labrador.
Some 1,300 toys were distributed with the help of RCMP members at various detachments in the region.
Toys were delivered to children 11 and under in Sheshatshiu, Happy Valley-Goose Bay, Nain, Makkovik, Postville, Hopedale, Rigolet, Cartwright, Black Tickle, Mary’s Harbour, St. Lewis, Port Hope Simpson and Charlottetown.
