Fifty RCMP recruits were recently put to the test – getting a taste of some of the physical demands police officers must face.
Participants from across the province were introduced to various components of the Police Fitness Assessment which includes three tests of a recruit’s physical fitness.
RCMP are among a number of police services trying to attract new recruits.
RCMP say participants showed a great effort and a willingness to push themselves. A similar event will be held in the province in the not-too-distant future as recruitment efforts continue.
