For those who choose to run for politics, having a good support system around them is “everything.”
That’s according to Kate Cadigan, a councillor in St. John’s who won her first election bid earlier this year.
Despite being constantly surrounded people, Cadigan says running a campaign can feel “isolating.”
She says it was important that she was “still Kate,” and doing the things outside of politics that she loves to do. The support system she had around her helped to make sure she was doing that and taking care of herself.
