The Canadian Association of Petroleum Producers is monitoring the evolving situation in Venezuela very closely.
CAPP President Lisa Baiton says commenting on the situation and how it could affect Canadian oil producers would be purely speculative at this time.
However, it says, what the latest events underscore is that in an increasingly unpredictable world, “Canada must continue its drive to be a more competitive place for energy investment.”
That it says will help to strengthen the country’s economic foundation and position Canada that will allow it to thrive through market cycles and global volatility.
