Municipalities and community groups throughout the province can take a first step to increasing their resilience to wildfire by applying for a Wildfire Community Preparedness Day grant.
The deadline to apply for the $500 vouchers from the provincial government is next Saturday, January 31.
Last year, a record 44 municipalities, fire departments, and community organizations received funding, an increase over the 13 who participated the year before.
