Parts of the island are in for a taste of the winter storm that has wreaked havoc on parts of Ontario and Quebec.
The Greater Toronto Area is basically shutdown today as residents dig out from upwards of 50 cm of snow on Sunday.
Flights in and out of Pearson Airport are either delayed or cancelled again today.
Things won’t be as drastic when the system lands in this province overnight, however it is expected to be a blustery one tomorrow.
Meteorologist Wanda Batten says so far there is a winter storm warning out for parts of the south coast.
There’s about 15 cm in the forecast, prompting a warning for Burgeo to Harbour Breton. Lesser amounts are expected for the Burin and Avalon Peninsulas, however winds could make for some reduced visibility over exposed areas.
