If you’re in the market for a snowblower, you may have a tough time finding one…at least for now.

NL Kubota has been flat-out this winter selling and servicing the machines people need to clear snow.

President of Sales with NL Kubota in St. John’s, Darcy Tucker says with one of the snowiest winters on record, not just here, but across North America, demand is exceeding supply.

“We are completely sold out of snowblowers, in fact, Toro in North America is sold out of snowblowers as well.” He says a truck arrived with snowblowers this week and they were sold even before the doors of the truck were opened.

Tucker says manufacturers had slacked off on production following a few relatively mild winters across the continent, but Mother Nature has thrown a wrench into the system.

Tucker says they do have some snow throwers, often used on walkways, but if you’re looking for a snowblower today;

“I think I’d have to give you mine,” says Tucker only half joking.
