Long-time Team Newfoundland and Labrador third Mark Nichols says he could never imagine how far his career would take him when Brad Gushue asked him to move to St. John’s at the beginning of their careers.
Nichols and Team NL were eliminated early from Brier contention Saturday, marking the end of Skip Brad Gushue’s career.

Nichols says his team had “ a lot of momentum, but ran out of steam at the end,” saying the tournament brought memories he won’t be forgetting anytime soon.
When describing the support from this province, Nichols says there is no other curling team with a larger following than Team Newfoundland and Labrador.
As for what’s next for him, Nichols says that’s to be determined.
