A local musician is frustrated after returning to his car after playing a busy St. Patrick’s Day weekend downtown only to find a boot on his car. And he is getting plenty of feedback.
Greg Tobin says after playing clubs for the last four decades, he’s disgusted that the city still hasn’t come up with a plan for people who make their living in the downtown.
He says there’s nowhere for musicians to drop off instruments or to park, and there are no discounts for musicians who must park regularly in the downtown.
He’s launched an online petition seeking remedy for musicians and others who work late at night in the downtown.
He says finding that wheel-locking device on his car after working 10 hours was the “straw that broke the camel’s back.”
He says he basically worked that night for nothing.
