A man is in the lockup this morning after picking a fight with the cops instead of going quietly.

RNC were called out to a disturbance at a residence in the west end of St. John’s at about 8:00 last night after somebody damaged the property in question. They confronted a 42-year-old at the scene, but as they were trying to arrest him, he abruptly attacked police by wielding a guitar like a baseball bat. Officers got things under control by using a taser.

The guitar man will appear in court today to face the music.
