The College of Registered Nurses has released the results of recent Adjudication Tribunals involving three members found guilty of conduct deserving of sanction.
The College was contacted by NL Health Services in the Western Zone about the conduct of Rosalynn (Decker) Anjum from December 5, 2023 to May 14, 2025.
Specifically, concerns were raised about Anjum’s conviction on a criminal offence and her failure to report the conviction to the College. She also tested positive for alcohol during her nursing shift, and failed to comply with an amended Alternative Dispute Resolution agreement.
Andrew Humber was found guilty of conduct deserving of sanction on issues related to professional misconduct and incompetence, incapacity or unfitness to engage in the practice of nursing. The concerns related specifically to his medication administration practices and the diversion of narcotics.
Lisa Patten was found guilty of conduct deserving of sanction related to allegations filed by what was then Eastern Health regarding unprofessional conduct in the workplace and violation of the employer’s Social Media Policy.
The Adjudication Tribunal in each case outlined a number of specific requirements that must be met in each case before each of the three can return to practice.
