A man faces a slew of charges after a woman was assaulted at a residence in the east end of St. John’s by her boyfriend, who was still in the house when police arrived.
The incident unfolded at about 10:00 last night.
RNC officers entered the premises and charged a 21-year-old man with assault, overcoming resistance and forcible confinement.
He was held for court today.
Police also responded to a domestic disturbance on Burgeo Street in the west of St. John’s overnight involving the two homeowners. A 51-year-old man has been charged with assault.
