Health Minister Lela Evans is disappointed that the new Urgent Care Clinic had to close early on Sunday.
The facility was supposed to operate until 8:00 p.m. Sunday, but was forced to close much earlier at 4:00 p.m.
The minister was questioned by the Opposition’s Bernard Davis in the legislature.
She admits NLHS is struggling to keep the urgent care clinic open, at certain times, and on certain days.
She says recruitment and retention remains a challenge.
Calling the situation “unacceptable,” she says they are going to address problems around recruitment and retention.
