A man who chose the bus as his getaway from a theft will have his next stop be at court this morning.

Police were called to a business on Stavanger Drive around 3:00 yesterday afternoon, where a 42-year-old man had left the store with stolen items.

Officers found the suspect nearby at a bus stop and arrested him shortly thereafter.

The man has since been charged with theft under $5000, breach of probation, and breach of a release order.

He was held for court.
