RCMP in Happy Valley-Goose Bay are investigating following a frightening and unusual incident in the town earlier this week.
Police were contacted Tuesday by a resident who turned over a stun gun found by a child on Campbell Street across from a playground. The child had apparently shocked themselves with the device and suffered minor injuries as a result.
RCMP say the device, a rechargeable stun gun shaped like a pair of brass knuckles and made of metal and plastic, has since been disposed of.
Police are asking anyone who may have noticed suspicious activity in the area of Campbell or Ford streets, or who may have information, to give them a call.
