The RCMP-RNC Integrated Internet Child Exploitation Unit has charged a St. John’s man with various offences related to child pornography.

The home of the accused was searched in October of 2025 in relation to a report of online child exploitation.

Electronics were seized, and a forensic analysis was conducted.

As a result, 72-year-old Brian Griffin has been charged with one count each of accessing, possessing and transmitting child sexual abuse and exploitation material.

He was released on strict conditions to appear in court June 18th on the charges.
