The 42nd annual Children’s Miracle Network Janeway Telethon gets underway this weekend.
The event raises money to help the Janeway provide equipment and care for children across the province.
The President and CEO of the Janeway Foundation, Rebecca Dutton, says the telethon showcases the generosity of Newfoundlanders and Labradorians.
She admits, some of the stories are sad, but “we want to make sure the telethon is inspiring people and showing them what they can do to help.”
The telethon airs on Saturday from 5:30 to 9:30 p.m. and on Sunday from 12:00 to 7:00 p.m. on NTV.
VOCM’s Greg Smith will be among the broadcast’s many guest hosts.
