One man was arrested and weapons seized in a police operation on Sauve Street in Mount Pearl yesterday that resulted in area residents being asked to shelter in place.
RNC were called around 5:00 yesterday afternoon about a weapons-related incident in a home, and a shelter in place directive was issued to people living in the area.
The Constabulary, along with the Tactics and Rescue Team and the RCMP’s Emergency Response Team, took 28-year-old Colton Collier into custody around 1:00 this morning.
RNC say two firearms, ammunition, a knife and crossbow were seized.
Collier is facing a list of weapons-related charges.

- Carelessly Using a Firearm
- Possession of a Weapon for a Dangerous Purpose
- Breaching Firearms Regulations
- Failure to Comply with a Release Order
