A man has been charged with impaired driving causing death following a crash on Mayor Avenue in St. John’s earlier this month.
Emergency crews were called to the intersection of Mayor Avenue and Newtown Road just after 1:30 in the morning on June 12th to reports of a single-vehicle collision.
There were four people in the vehicle at the time of the collision, including a 24-year-old who succumbed to his injuries.
The three others suffered non-life threatening injuries.
Now, police say the driver of the vehicle, 21-year-old Koushik Ghosh is facing numerous charges including impaired driving causing death.
He appeared in court today.
