The federal government is making $80-million worth of upgrades at the Marine Atlantic ferry terminal in North Sydney, and officials seem poised to make similar upgrades in Argentia.
Yesterday in Nova Scotia, government announced money for dock extensions, auto-mooring improvements, and electrical upgrades for that side of the operation.
Federal fisheries minister Joanne Thompson will be joined by Marine Atlantic CEO Murray Hupman for a news conference at the Argentia ferry terminal this morning.
VOCM news will be at the news conference and will have all the details as they become available.
