The Royal Newfoundland Constabulary is appealing to the public as they gather more information related to a robbery on a Mount Pearl walking trail last week.
Police rushed to the Admiralty Walking Trail near Carroll Drive Friday morning following reports that a woman was approached by a man who had a weapon and attempted to take her belongings before fleeing towards Richard Nolan Drive.
The suspect and victim did not know each other.
The man is described as being tall and thin, Caucasian, and was wearing a black hoodie and black pants.
Police are canvassing the area bordered by Smallwood Drive, Commonwealth Avenue, and Old Placentia Road today seeking video footage and information.
The RNC encourage anyone who may have footage from the area between 8 a.m. and 11 a.m. on the day of the incident to review it for a man matching the suspect’s description.

The area of Mount Pearl that police say they will be canvassing.
