Access to some facilities in St. John’s tomorrow will be limited as the city and government spreads insecticide to rid the area of the Japanese Beetle.
A portion of Bowring Park will be closed from the main west gate entrance on Park Road to the Jamie Morry Sports Field.
The section of the park from the duck pond entrance on Waterford Bridge Road to the playground will remain open and accessible during the treatment. The splash pad, pool, playground, and all recreational programming will operate as usual.
Treatments are also being administered at the National War Memorial on Duckworth Street, and it will be closed to the public for the entire day.
