Gander says 136 new housing units have been built in the town over the first two years of new initiatives introduced to accelerate home building.

That number includes 41 units built in year one, and 95 units built in year 2. The town says the units built in the second year of the program exceeded its target by 28 units – or 42 per cent.

Gander says its population increased by 23 per cent between 2001 and 2021.
