A 26-year-old woman has been charged with dangerous driving and flight from police following an incident in Corner Brook Tuesday afternoon.

RNC noticed a vehicle which failed to stop at a stop sign on Clarence Street in Corner Brook around noon that day.

The officer attempted to pull the vehicle over, however the driver sped away in a reckless manner.

The vehicle was later found on Station Road and through video footage, officers were able to identify the woman who had been driving it.

She was arrested a short time later.

In addition to criminal charges, the woman was also ticketed for not having insurance and for failing to stop at a stop sign.

The vehicle was seized.
