There will be a lot of “hup, two, three, four” going on at various times in the east end of St. John’s over the next couple of weeks.
The 37 Signal Regiment will be doing “ruck marches” in the Quidi Vidi Lake and Pleasantville areas, as well as on roads surrounding Canadian Forces Station St. John’s. Armed Forces members will be carrying military equipment and service rifles as part of normal training activities beginning Monday and continuing for eight days. Additional training will take place on August 7 involving a troop movement that afternoon.
No ammunition or pyrotechnics will be used during the training, and there will be no road closures or disruptions to normal public activities.
