Young people are being invited to participate in the parliamentary process through a special hands-on learning experience.
Applications are now open for the 60th annual Youth Parliament this October.
The President of NL’s Youth Parliament, Leah Patterson, calls it a great opportunity to help teens and young adults learn more about the political process.
She says she hears a lot of young people say that politics doesn’t interest them, but “politics concerns everybody. It doesn’t have to interest you, but it impacts you, whether it’s health care, school, the cost of your tuition, where you want to travel…”
Applications are open until Friday.
