A wanted man ended up being unsuccessful in his attempt to pull the wool over the eyes of the RNC.
Police were called about a break and enter at a home in the west end of St. John’s over the supper hour yesterday.
When officers arrived, they came face-to-face with the 34-year-old who decided to provide a fake name.
The man’s true identity was confirmed based on his history with the law and the several warrants out against him.
He was arrested and charged with possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, possession of a concealed weapon, mischief and breaches of court orders.
