WestJet is back up and running after a brief strike/lockout involving its flight attendants.

All flights came to a halt just after midnight on Sunday after the airline and CUPE failed to reach a tentative deal.

Time spent on the picket line was short-lived however as the two sides reached a tentative agreement yesterday.

There will be no specific details about the agreement shared until it is ratified – something which must be done within 30 days.

WestJet is now working to get flights back up and running as usual, with some flights already resuming out of St. John’s.

Passengers booked to fly until Thursday can cancel or make a one-time change to their booking at no cost.
