A man and woman have been charged after a break-in at a home in Conception Bay South yesterday evening.

As officers were approaching the area around 6:20, they witnessed the pair running away from the scene.

The police dog jumped into action and assisted in taking the woman into custody. The 27-year-old had to be taken to hospital for treatment of a minor injury.

A short while later, the second suspect was spotted walking down the Conception Bay Highway. The 35-year-old was arrested and taken to the lockup.

The two each face charges of breaking and entering and resisting arrest, while the woman faces an additional charge of breach of release order.
