The consequences of a devastating two-vehicle collision on the Trans Canada near Southern Harbour Friday morning are being felt throughout the province.

The crash forced the extended closure of the Trans Canada.

RCMP have yet to confirm whether there were any casualties, but New Evolution Wresting confirms that two of its members were among those injured.

In a post on Facebook, New Evolution Wrestling says the accident had an “enormous impact” on everyone within the organization.

Two members are currently recovering from “serious injuries” and NEW extends its condolences to the family of a brother and sister who lost their lives in the crash.

The organization says it is hoping, with the permission and involvement of the families involved, to put together a fundraiser for the victims.
