The town of Appleton is planning to hold a ceremony next month to commemorate to 25th anniversary of 9/11.
Appleton was one of several communities to step up when planes were grounded in the aftermath of the terrorist attacks in the United States.
The ceremony is set for 11:00 a.m. on September 11th at the Appleton Peace Park.
A ceremony is also taking place on the anniversary in Gander at the Steele Community Centre.
That event is taking place at 2:00 p.m.
