RNC have charged a 44-year-old St. John’s woman with a raft of fraud-related charges after receiving complaints from two different provinces.

Police were contacted by a Nova Scotia business on August 18th, indicating that a vehicle had been delivered to a woman in St. John’s who had used a fake ID to make the purchase.

The following day RNC received a call from a woman in British Columbia who indicated that her identity had been used to make the vehicle purchase.

The vehicle in question was pulled over in the centre city area on Sunday.

Forty-four-year-old Susan Hillier was charged with possession of property obtained by crime and public mischief – in addition to driving without a license, insurance or registration.

Hillier is charged with fraud over $5,000, unlawfully obtaining another person’s identity with intent, two counts of personation with intent to obtain property, three counts of uttering a forged document, and three counts of breaching a conditional sentence order.

She was held in custody to appear in court.
